Affiliate relationships do not influence recommendations. All suggestions are generated by Claude AI based solely on the page you’re reading. I never accept payment to promote specific books or authors.
Credit pack purchases
Credit packs (100 suggestions for $5) are one-time digital purchases. Because credits are delivered instantly, I generally don’t offer refunds once a pack has been used. If a technical issue prevented your credits from being delivered or applied correctly, contact me within 14 days and I’ll make it right — either by restoring your credits or issuing a full refund.
Unused credits
If you haven’t used any credits from a pack, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

Service description
BookSuggest is a Chrome extension that uses Claude AI to generate book recommendations based on webpage content. It’s made by Māris Berķis, an individual developer based in Rīga, Latvia, EU.
Acceptable use
You may use BookSuggest for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or circumvent usage limits.
AI-generated content
Recommendations are generated by Claude AI (Anthropic). While I aim for quality, I make no guarantees about the accuracy or suitability of any suggestion. Always verify before purchasing.
Availability
I aim to keep the service available but make no uptime guarantees. The service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic, Amazon) whose availability is outside my control.
Changes to terms
I may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia and applicable EU regulations.
What I collect
When you click “Suggest books”, the text content of the current page is sent to my server, which forwards it to the Claude AI API. I don’t store this content after the response is returned.
To manage usage limits, I assign a random device identifier to your installation. This ID is stored locally in your browser and used server-side only to count daily requests. It’s not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
What I don’t collect

- Cookies or tracking data
Payment data
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. I don’t store payment card details. See LemonSqueezy’s privacy policy.
Data location
My server is hosted on Hetzner infrastructure in the EU (Germany). Processing complies with GDPR.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you’re an EU resident, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data I hold. Email maaris.berkis@gmail.com.
