Credit pack purchases

Credit packs (100 additional suggestions for $5) are one-time digital purchases. Because credits are delivered instantly and consumed digitally, we generally do not offer refunds once a pack has been used.

However, if you experience a technical issue that prevented your credits from being delivered or applied correctly, please contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will make it right — either by restoring your credits or issuing a full refund.

Unused credits

If you have not used any credits from a pack you purchased, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

How to request a refund

Email maaris.berkis@gmail.com with your order number (provided by LemonSqueezy at purchase) and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Disputes

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We will resolve legitimate issues promptly. Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record.

Service description

BookSuggest is a Chrome browser extension that uses Claude AI to generate book recommendations based on webpage content. The extension is provided by Maris Berkis, operating as an individual developer based in Latvia, EU.

Acceptable use

You may use BookSuggest for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or circumvent usage limits.

AI-generated content

Book recommendations are generated by Claude AI (Anthropic). While we aim for quality suggestions, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recommendation. Always verify before purchase.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but make no uptime guarantees. The service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic Claude API, Amazon) whose availability is outside our control.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia and applicable EU regulations.

What we collect

When you click “Suggest Books”, the text content of the current webpage is sent to our server, which forwards it to the Claude AI API to generate recommendations. We do not store this content after the response is returned.

To manage usage limits, we assign a random device identifier to your installation. This ID is stored locally in your browser and used server-side only to count daily requests. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.

What we do not collect

• Your browsing history
• Pages you visit without clicking the extension
• Personal identification information
• Cookies or tracking data

Payment data

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store your payment card details. See LemonSqueezy’s privacy policy for details.

Data location

Our server is hosted on Hetzner infrastructure in the European Union (Germany). Data processing complies with GDPR.
